Jeff Lindor: NYC Tourism's "Rising Star" Feature

New York City Tourism & Conventions profiled Jeff Lindor in a 2023 feature on the city's rising entrepreneurs, framing Gentlemen's Factory as a business incubator built to help Black and Brown founders collaborate and grow.
The piece traced Jeff's path from Haiti — where he was born before moving to New York with his parents and two sisters at age three — through a career spanning public policy and city government, to building what had become, within just a few years, a multi-million-dollar operation with real social impact. Asked what keeps him in New York, Jeff pointed to scale: build something that works here, he said, and "this is a city of opportunity" that lets it grow anywhere.
The feature also captured where Jeff saw the work heading next: a workforce development and employment pipeline called the Skills Factory, aimed at training and placing Black men and women across New York City, alongside early plans for a women's counterpart to Gentlemen's Factory built in partnership with women-led organizations and executives.
Asked about legacy, Jeff didn't point to the business. He pointed to balance — building something for the collective without losing his own family or mental health along the way.
